Fad Diets Don’t Work So Do What You Gotta Do To Get Fit!

In the world of health and fitness, there really are no shortcuts. Somehow we convince ourselves that a pill will work because it costs $40 a bottle for a one month supply. Or that an expensive ab belt will shock our core into a state of fitness and ripped abs. For some of us, we learn the hard way by dumping a lot of money into these products. It isn’t until we wise up that we realize there is only one way to a fit body.

1.) Proper Nutrition- Cutting bad on red meats and processed foods is a good start, but you really need to go the extra mile to get fit. This means getting your daily allotment of fruits and vegetables, at least five servings of each. Lean meats like chicken and turkey are more more healthy that your hamburgers, steaks and hot dogs. Perhaps most important of all is that you drink water on a regular basis. Water cleans and filters your system and not only helps your body develop, but helps to act against sickness and infection as well.

2.) Work out- That means an hour a day. It can be as simple as walking or as involved as strength training but to maintain an adequate physical shape then you have to be working out. A proper blend of weights and cardio is a great way to keep the body in shape. Also, work in a solid ab routine a few nights a week. It’s our core which helps us to develop the strength to keep on working so a defined midsection is always optimal.

3.) Reduce Your Screen Time- Whether it is the computer or the TV, try an limit the amount of screen time that is recreational to just a couple of hours a day. This will free up time not only to do more working out, but develop new and healthier hobbies as well!
